The loss of stem cell viability because of extreme temperatures experienced during transportation is a problem that all cord blood banks should take seriously. Unfortunately, most cord blood banks rely on the speed of the courier service in hope that it will be delivered quickly and the functionality and usefulness of the cord blood and cord tissue collection will not be affected. Properly safeguarding a collection requires a kit with excellent insulating properties.
In addition, we have an FDA–NDA-approved collection bag. Following the FDA recommendations, we use only heparin-free bags to safeguard clients from complications linked to heparin toxicity and allergic reactions and to maximize the recovery of stem cells.36, 37 The bag is also sterile and C-Section-ready.

We have a state-of-the-art laboratory, which has received the most accreditations of any cord blood bank and was the first and only private cord blood bank in the U.S. to meet the stringent standards set forth by the Foundation for the Accreditation for Cellular Therapy (FACT).
