Collection Reimbursement

Get reimbursed for your cord blood collection procedure.

Whether or not to charge a fee for professional services related to cord blood collection is your practice’s decision. Currently, there are no specific billing codes for umbilical cord blood collection, though it should be noted that blood collection fees should be charged separately from other maternity service fees.

In conjunction with Cryo-Cell’s new service structure beginning December 2005, new enrollees will have the opportunity to be reimbursed up to $175 by Cryo-Cell for professional collection fees.

Direct Reimbursement to Your Patient: Up to $175

Your patient can send us a copy of the reimbursement voucher they received upon enrollment, or they can download a copy from our Web site, and we'll send them a check for the amount of the charge for collection, up to $175, once the cord blood is received and stored.

Direct Payment to Your Practice: Up to $175

You can send us a copy of the reimbursement voucher signed by your Cryo-Cell patient, and we'll send you a check for the amount of the charge for collection, up to $175, once the cord blood is received and stored.
